Wednesday Woo: Success

Today’s Wednesday Woo: Success was inspired by the questions and thoughts of those at the Sunday meeting. We were contemplating why many of us were finding it so hard to reach the goals we set.

What is keeping us from being successful?

Are we setting unrealistic goals? Are we not following through, or making them a priority? I sometimes wonder if it is the fear of success that keeps us from completing our work.

There’s no right or wrong answer. What is required is self-evaluation. Writer know thyself.

I’m avoiding the work, truthfully, because I don’t think it is good enough.  I don’t know if I’m capable of making it so or if my expectations are unrealistic. And I won’t know until I finish it-even if it isn’t where I want it to be, forward is better than standing still. Evil how self-fulfilling you can make your self-doubts.

Typically, I’m an advocate of failing, in the least it means you are trying, at most it mean you learn what didn’t work and can use that information to strategize  your next move.

What do successful people do that we aren’t doing? I’m taking a broad look at success. Perhaps we will find inspiration in how others reach their goals or strategies in setting goals that are more attainable.
